Roadmap

As of 21 September 2026

This page shows what we are working on over the coming months and what you can prepare for. What is already available is listed under What’s new.

  1. October 2026 Up next

The calculation of your times moves to our new, more capable platform. This lays the groundwork for the improvements that follow.

    • Time-tracking terminal (Android 16): the terminal runs entirely on the new platform — including start and stop bookings.
    • Locations per employee: employees can be assigned their own location, which the calculation takes into account.
  2. November 2026 Planned

    Based on Android 16

The next terminal generation is more modern, quicker to set up and more closely tied to the web application.

    • Familiar look: the interface follows the design of the web application — if you know one, you will find your way around the other straight away.
    • Request leave right at the terminal: requests work just as they do in the web application.
    • Quick setup: a new terminal is paired by code and then approved in the web application.
    • Multi-tenant: one terminal can be used for several tenants (Mandanten).
  3. November to December 2026 Planned

The Zeiterfassung Companion helps you keep track of what you worked on at the office — without your records being stored on a server. The application is designed throughout for data protection under the GDPR: your data stays with you and under your control.

    • Activities on a timeline: see at a glance what you worked on and when, across your day.
    • Encrypted screenshots: screenshots help you retrace your work later and are encrypted on your computer.
    • Your data, your password: all data is stored encrypted and can only be opened with your password.
    • No storage on the server: your records never leave your computer.
  4. 31 December 2026 Deadline

    End of life

At the end of the year we retire the following Windows programs:

    • Management program for Windows
    • Zeiterfassung for Windows

By then, all functions are to be available in the web application and the new apps. Please plan your switch in good time.

  5. Q1 2027 Planned

Sign-in moves to a modern, open standard (OpenID Connect) and becomes considerably more secure.

    • Two-factor sign-in as an extra layer of protection
    • Sign in with a passkey or security key (FIDO), no password needed
    • Choose the tenant (Mandant) right at sign-in
    • Sign in with your company account, for example via Microsoft Entra ID
    • Lockout after repeated failed attempts
    • Implementation of the security requirements of the EU Cyber Resilience Act

The existing logs are improved, extended and brought together centrally — so you can trace even better who changed what and when. This covers:

    • the change log for all relevant records
    • the sign-in log
    • the log of important actions
    • the log of all actions at the terminals
    • the overview of sent e-mails
  6. February 2027 Planned
  7. Further topics 2027 Outlook

Screenshots are taken from a test tenant and show sample data. Your interface may differ depending on role, licence and configuration.
